Summer Live Music Series Returns to Portside Tavern

We're thrilled to announce the return of our popular Summer Live Music Series, featuring the best local Cape Cod artists every Friday night on our patio. Join us for great food, refreshing drinks, and fantastic music in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Now in its fifth year, our Summer Live Music Series has become a beloved tradition for both locals and visitors to Hyannis. This year, we've expanded the program to include more artists, longer performance times, and special themed nights that celebrate the diverse musical talent across Cape Cod.

From acoustic singer-songwriters to lively bands covering classic hits, our music series offers something for every musical taste. The performances take place on our newly renovated patio, which offers comfortable seating, ambient lighting, and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for summer evenings.

June Performances

Special Theme Nights

This year, we're introducing special themed nights to make the music series even more engaging:

Reggae Night (July 21)

Join us for a tropical evening featuring Dune Dogs performing reggae classics and island rhythms. We'll have special Caribbean-inspired cocktails and menu items for the night.

Blues & Brews Night (August 11)

Enjoy soulful blues performances paired with featured local craft beers. We'll have tasting flights available and brewery representatives on hand.

Songwriters Circle (August 25)

An intimate evening featuring local songwriters sharing the stories behind their music in a round-robin format.

Patio Dining Experience

Our patio has been specially designed to enhance the music experience. We've:

• Installed professional sound equipment optimized for outdoor acoustics
• Added comfortable seating with clear sightlines to the performance area
• Created dedicated areas for dancing
• Enhanced lighting to create a magical evening atmosphere
• Added heating elements for cooler summer nights

During music nights, we offer our full dinner menu along with special bar snacks perfect for sharing. Our bartenders have also created signature cocktails inspired by the summer music series.

Supporting Local Musicians

We're proud to support the local music community by providing a platform for Cape Cod artists to showcase their talent. All performers are paid fair wages, and we promote their appearances through our marketing channels.

Family-Friendly Atmosphere

Our Summer Live Music Series is family-friendly until 9:00 PM. We welcome music lovers of all ages and have special kids' menu options available. After 9:00 PM, the event becomes 21+ as we transition to more of a cocktail party atmosphere.

We've also created a designated family area with slightly reduced volume levels where parents can enjoy the music while children can relax with activities.
